The dreaded Flymo

The machine is now back having had the manufacturing fault retified. I wonder how long it will be before the next time something goes wrong, we should care, we now have a spare machine,
NOT a Flymo I would add.

Fymo conclusion, ? No way!!!

After the new motor was fitted it worked. Three weeks ago a letter arrived from Husqvana. All the models from the same batch as ours were being called in to have a fault rectified. The pins where the lead was plugged in were being pulled out which I am told could have resulted in injury to the operator, in which case they would have been liable to substancial damages.
Their nominated repairer would come from Ipswich to Felixstowe, collect the machine, do the repair and return it to Felixstowe, free of charge.
I know the young man who came to collect it. I said to him, "what was wrong with the motor that you had to replace earlier this year", he said "I am not allowed to say" I said "I can probably answer that myself, it was some of the crap being produced in China", he totally agreed and implored to anyone contemplating buying a Flymo, forget it or be sorry. I can't understand why I bought it on behalf of the residents of the block of flats where I live. At my age I am still living and learning
It's a job to buy british today anyway
